A Year of CPD

CPD courses for psychologists in United Kingdom

What a year costs

Talks on Calabash average {{cpdYearAvgCredits}} credits each and earn {{cpdYearUnit}} accredited in your country.

{{cpdYearTable}}

Every figure comes from the live catalogue and your own country's prices, so the table changes when we add talks or move a price. Buying talks one at a time is included because it is a perfectly reasonable way to use Calabash, particularly if you only need a few points.

Ethics is included

Part of most annual requirements has to be ethics, and that is usually where the cost comes from - ethics is routinely sold as a short, expensive add-on.

Calabash currently has {{cpdYearEthicsTalks}} accredited ethics talks in this region, priced the same as any other talk. There is no ethics surcharge and no separate ethics package to buy.

How it compares

The alternative most practitioners weigh this against is a bundle of articles with multiple-choice questions at the end, sold once-off for a fixed number of points.

A full year of CPD points with Calabash is priced competitively. What you get for it is video from practising clinicians rather than PDFs, a quiz and a certificate for every talk, and a library you keep access to for the whole year rather than a fixed set of readings you work through once.

Things to know

{{cpdYearRequirement}}

Your points depend on which talks you watch. Talks range from 6 to 18 credits and carry different points, so the totals above use the catalogue average. Pick only the longest talks and you will watch fewer than {{cpdYearTalks}}; pick shorter ones and you will watch more.

Accreditation is per country. Each country has its own professional body, its own rules about what counts, and its own accreditation on each talk. A talk accredited in one country may carry different points in another, or none at all.

Credits do not have to be spent on a year of CPD. They are yours to spend on whatever you want to watch, whenever you want to watch it.

This page is a guide, not a guarantee. What you end up with depends on the talks you choose and on the rules your professional body sets, so check the totals against your own requirement.
