Decolonising Psychology?

Watch this video interview, where Leanne from Calabash talks to Bertrand Leopeng, counselling psychologist with an interest in decolonisation. Bertrand has written about the possibilities for decolonised psychotherapy, and in this video, he discusses what it means to conceptualise decolonisation in the field of psychology.

Psychology as an academic discipline developed in the Western world, including Europe, Britan and North America. But the human mind and spirit transcend these divisions, and African knowledge systems can enrich our understanding of psychology in many ways, which Bertrand begins to consider in this video.
